Bengaluru tunnel road project: RVNL, Adani Group, among firms to place bids
Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the government of Karnataka, Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (B-SMILE) has informed that 4 firms have placed bids for the Bengaluru Tunnel Road Project. The proposed 16.74-km twin tunnel would connect Esteem Mall Junction at Hebbal to Central Silk Board Junction in South Bengaluru.
Bidders for the project are:
- Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL)
- Adani Group
- Vishwa Samudra Engineering
- Dilip Buildcon Limited
As per B-SMILE, the project will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model, with a total concession period of 34 years, including construction time. The package will be built into two packages, each spanning 8.748 km. Package 1 covers the stretch from Esteem Mall Junction to Seshadri Road–Race Course Junction, while Package 2 extends from Seshadri Road to Silk Board Junction.
