GAIL plans to develop solar project worth over Rs 3,295 crores in Uttar Pradesh
Government-owned natural gas firm, GAIL, has plans to develop a large-scale greenfield solar power plant in Uttar Pradesh. The plan is to develop a 600 MW greenfield solar project with a co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of 550 MWh.
The project will take an investment of Rs 3,294.86 crores and will be commissioned in 15 months. At the time of writing, the specific location in the state for the project was not known.
