Coastal Road Project: BMC floats tender worth over Rs 16, 000 crore
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has floated 6 tenders under the second phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MCRP) pegged at a cost of Rs 16,621 crore. The second phase is slated to connect North Versova to Dahisar and will be the longest arm of the ambitious project.
Tenders are for the appointment of a contractor to carry out the construction. Construction of the civic body’s coastal road project has been constituted into six proposed packages for which the tenders have been invited. While package A has been floated from Versova to Bangur Nagar, package B seeks to connect Bangur Nagar to Mindspace Malad as well as the proposed (Goregaon – Mulund Link Road GMLR).
Package C of the tender has been invited for Mindspace Malad to Charkop (northbound tunnel), and packages D, E and F have been floated for Charkop to Mindscape Malad south-bound tunnel, Charkop to Gorai and Gorai to Dahisar respectively.
