DVC signs contract to supply power to Karnataka DISCOMs
The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has signed a long-term contract to supply power to the discoms of Karnataka. As per officials, DVC signed a Purchase Agreement (PPA) to supply 300 MW of round-the-clock thermal power to Karnataka's 5 electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs).
This power will be sourced from DVC's upcoming Koderma Thermal Power Station Phase-II (2x800 MW), currently under development. The agreement is aimed at meeting Karnataka's growing energy demand.
