IOL To Expand Panipat Refinery, Investment Of Over Rs 32,000 Planned
State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is planning to invest in its Panipat refinery. The firm is planning to invest in capacity expansion from 15 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) to 25 MMTPA. An investment of Rs 32,946 crore is planned for the same. The project is expected to be commissioned by September 2024. Under the capacity expansion installation of a polypropylene unit and a catalytic dewaxing unit would also be done.Â
The Panipat refinery at present is supplying the fuel for the needs of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi.
