Madh to Versova bridge project: BMC receives clearance
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has received a final nod for the Madh-Versova creek project from Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). The BMC will soon float tenders for the project.
The bridge would be 1.5 km long and 27.45 meters wide. It will be a four-lane bridge, with two lanes on each side. Project would ensure an easier commute between Versova and Madh as it cut down the travel time to 30 minutes from the current 90 minutes. Estimated cost of the cable-stayed flyover is Rs 700 crore.
