Medanta to set 500 bed hospital in Mumbai, plans R 1200 crore worth investment
Renowned hospital chain Medanta plans to set a proposed super specialty hospital of over 500 beds capacity at an investment of Rs 1,200 crore (including the cost of land and construction). The project would be funded by debt and internal accruals in equal proportions.
The hospital will have advanced treatment options for the residents of Mumbai and surrounding regions and will be the second largest private hospital in Mumbai after the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute (KDAH). Post customary and regulatory approvals, it would take around 3-4 years to complete the project.
