Power Grid Corporation floats tender for solar project with BESS in Ladakh
Public sector firm Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has floated a tender inviting bids from the eligible bidders to commission a 2,100 kW off-grid solar project integrated with a 300 kW/1,200 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The tender is for the project located at the Pang HVDC station in Ladakh at an approximate altitude of 4,700 meters.
As per the tender, the scope of work involves design and engineering services. It also involves submitting technical documents and power generation estimation. The project has an estimated cost of Rs 137.60 million, and the last date for bid submission is 27th June, 2025.
