Railways building test track in Rajasthan, to invest Rs 820 crore
Indian Railways is developing a dedicated railway test track in Rajasthan. The facility is to be built for Rs 820 crore would be 60 km long and be used for testing rolling stock. This would be the country's first train trial track.
The track is not completely straight but many curved points have been made. Some curves are made for lower speed and some are made for high speed and after the completion of the first phase, bullet trains can also be tested at a speed of 230 kmph.
