Railways floats tender worth Rs 2,200 crore for Kavach
Indian Railways has floated a tender worth Rs 2,200 crore for the Indigenous automatic train protection system Kavach. The tender is for West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Uttar Pradesh, covering nearly 7,228 route km (rkm).
As per the tender it covers components for Kavach such as towers, optical fibers, and dashboards, alongside contracting system integrators.
