Railways To Invite Bids For Mumbai, Delhi Station Revamp
The Indian railways plan to invite fresh bids from infrastructure developers, for the revamp of Mumbai and Delhi railway stations. Railways say that it has reworked the model for the modernization of New Delhi and Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway stations.
As per reports from The Economic Times, New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) are now set to be bid out under a hybrid build-operate-transfer (BOT) model, whereby the railways will invest up to 40 percent of the total project cost of each project.
