Thane-Belapur belt slum redevelopment: MIDC floats tender inviting bids for the work
The Maharashtra Government's body, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), has floated a tender inviting bids for the redevelopment of Thane-Belapur belt slum clusters.
Spread over 338 acres, the Thane-Belapur corridor is one of the most important industrial zones in the state. The project will focus on around 35,800 slum structures located along the Trans Thane Creek (TTC) corridor between Digha and Shirwane. As per MIDC's tender, the developers capable of rehabilitating more than 1,900 families will qualify.
