Reliance power to set solar manufacturing unit in Andhra
Reliance Group's power arm Reliance Power has plans to invest over Rs 10,000 crore in a solar power plant and an integrated solar manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Power, Reliance NU Suntech Pvt Ltd has recently bagged an order comprising a 930 MW solar power plant and 1860 MWh battery storage capacity. The composite facility will be built in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.
The firm aims to commission the project within 24 months of signing the power purchase agreements with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
