Starlink signs deal with Jio and Airtel for satellite internet in India
Billionaire Elon Musk's Starlink is to enter the Indian market. The has signed agreements with Jio and Airtel to offer high-speed satellite internet services in the country. Starlink’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network promises to revolutionise internet access, especially in rural and remote areas where traditional infrastructure struggles.
The deal, however, would go ahead after regulatory approvals, which remain a key hurdle before operations can begin.
