Subsea interconnection project worth Rs 40,000 crore planned by Power Grid
Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has plans to set up an undersea interconnection with countries in the Middle East, a project that would be worth Rs 40,000 crore. As per The Economic Times, the discussion for the project included Oman, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.
Further, PGCIL is focused on renewable energy projects and diversifying into smart meters and data centers.
