Telangana government to develop 6 lane road, plans to acquire 420 acres land
The state government of Telangana plans to acquire 420 acres of land to develop a 20-km six-lane road that will provide better connectivity to the Young India Skill University, the proposed Future City, Outer Ring Road (ORR), and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
A proposal for the same is produced by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) which includes radial roads, including the six-lane highway, to connect to ORR and the regional ring road in the future. In phase 1, 420 acres will be acquired from farmers and land owners from Kongara Khurd village in Maheshwaram mandal, Ferozguda and Kongara Kalan villages in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Lemur, Rachalur, Gummadavelly, Punjaguda and Meerkhanpet villages in Kandukur mandal in Rangareddy district
Radial roads will be developed in two to three phases by taking over 916 acres from 15 villages, including 560 acres from private landowners, and the rest will be either govt or forest land.
