UBL to set canned beer facility, to invest Rs 90 crore
Renewed alcoholic beverages maker United Breweries Ltd (UBL) has plans to set up a canning line at its Nizam Brewery in Telangana. The firm would invest Rs 90 crore in the project, which is expected to become operational within a year.
It will add 0.4 million hectolitres to the brewery's existing 0.5 million hectolitres capacity. As per the firm, the facility will cater to all its premium brands, such as Kingfisher, Kingfisher Ultra, and Heineken, in a canned format.
