Buxar thermal power plant: PM Modi inaugurates the project
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first unit of SJVN's thermal power project in Bihar's Buxar. PM virtually inaugurated the first unit of 660 megawatt (MW) of the 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project.
The project is built with an investment of Rs 13,756.56 crore and would generate 9,828.72 million units of electricity annually. 85% of the power from the project would be received by Bihar, and will enhance power availability in Bihar and also reduce peak-hour shortages.
