Union renewable energy ministry inaugurates solar project in North Goa
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has informed about the inauguration of a 45-kilowatt on-grid solar power system at a water pumping station in North Goa district. The project is a part of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited's (IREDA) CSR initiative.
This project aims to showcase how renewable energy can sustainably power public water distribution systems. It would generate about 60,000 units annually, achieving 100% solarisation of the pumping load.
