Varanasi to Kolkata Expressway: L one bidders for the 2 sections announced
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has declared the L one bidder (lowest bidder) for 2 sections of the 610.417 km Varanasi – Ranchi – Kolkata. Ceigall India Ltd. and HG Infra Engineering Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidders for the expressway’s package 12 and 13’s civil construction in Jharkhand.
The greenfield expressway project would be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 28,500 crores under the Bharatmala Pariyojna (BMP) program. Ceigall India Ltd. placed a bid of Rs 1305 crore for Package 12. While HG Infra Engineering Ltd. placed a bid of Rs 925.11 crore for Package 13.
The scope of work under Package 12 involves work from Jn with NH20 in Bongabar village to Jn with NH320 in Lepo village (KM. 325.500 to KM. 358.500 with an estimated cost of Rs. 1071.99 crores.
Under Package 13 work involves Jn with NH320 in Lepo village to Kamlapur village (JH/WB border) (KM. 358.500 to KM. 387.200) with an estimated cost of Rs. 775.01 crore.
