Versova To Dahisar costal project: BMC issues LoA for project worth Rs 17,000 crore
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a letter of award (LoA) for the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (North), linking Versova in the western suburbs to Dahisar at the northernmost edge of Mumbai. As per the tender, the project is divided project into six packages — A, B, C, D, E, and F.
Work for packages A and F has been awarded to APCO Infratech, while J Kumar Infra projects in a joint venture with NCC Limited have bagged order for package B. Further, Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL) has been finalized for packages C and D, whereas Larsen and Toubro (L&T) have been selected for package E.
Stretching 22.93 km and six-lane the project is the second phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MRCP) and is also known as Versova-Dahisar Link Road (VDLR). It covers a 4.46 km connector to Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR).
