Visakhapatnam railway station project: new platforms to be ready by 2025
Waltair railway division is expanding the Visakhapatnam Railway Station with the addition of two new platforms that would be ready by the end of 2025. The new platforms will be situated on the Gnanapuram side adding to the existing 8 platforms.
The value of the project is Rs 450 crore and the work pertains to infrastructural development, which includes the construction of elevators, modern foot-over bridges, and road expansion around the station.
