Zeiss to set new plant in Karnataka, plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore
German manufacturer of optical systems and optoelectronics Zeiss Group has plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in India on a new plant in Karnataka. The move aimed at increasing its spectacle glasses manufacturing capacity.
In a statement, the firm said that it has procured 34 acres of land close to the (Bengaluru) airport and is in line to get another 9 acres hopefully, with an investment of close to Rs 2,500 crore coming into this.
