179 New branches to be opened by HDFC Bank
The country's s largest private sector bank, HDFC Bank would open 179 new branches across the two states -- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Branches would be opened over a period of the next 6 to 9 months.
HDFC bank has 588 branches across both states and of the new proposed branches, 90 branches would come in Telangana and 89 in Andhra Pradesh. Further, the bank will also hire 5,000 employees in the next 9 months against the existing manpower of 6,500 across the two states.
