Rs 330 crores approved by Gujarat government for educational infrastructure
The state government of Gujarat has approved Rs 330 crores to strengthen school infrastructure across the state. This amount is approved under the 2026-27 budget that aims at the construction of 108 new government schools to improve educational facilities in non-tribal, tribal, and special focus areas.
This budget of Rs 330 crores is divided into 3 heads: Rs 210 crore for non-tribal areas, Rs 80 crore for tribal areas, and Rs 40 crore for special focus areas. Out of a total of 108 new schools, 69 will be in non-tribal regions, 17 in tribal areas, and 22 in special focus zones.
