APEDA to develop a Basmati & Organic training centre in Pilibhit
Union Ministry of Commerce's body, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), is planning to develop a Basmati & Organic Training Centre-cum-Demo Farm at Tanda Bijaisi, Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh.
APEDA has signed a 70-year lease agreement with the Government of Uttar Pradesh for the proposed project. As per the updates, the new centre will be equipped with facilities including an auditorium, museum, conference room, laboratory, and storage space for organic farming inputs. It is expected to support training and capacity building in the region.
