Chennai Metro: Underground work at Indira nagar begins
Sam India Builtwell and URC Construction have informed that they have started the work on 45.4 km Chennai Metro Line-3 which will connect Madhavaram Milk Colony and SIPCOT via 49 stations. A groundbreaking ceremony for Package UG05-RT-01 at Indira Nagar Station was performed by Sam India.
The firm (Sam India) has deployed a Schwing-XCMG trench cutter machine to start grabbing and trenching works to construct the diaphragm wall (D-wall) around Indira Nagar Station. As per the tender, the scope of work involves the construction of 3 underground stations at Adyar Depot, Indira Nagar and Taramani Road Jn and Ramp and works other than the diaphragm wall of the underground stationThiruvanmiyur Metro.
