CPCL Plans Investments Of Over Rs 1,800 Crores BS-VI Upgrade
Indian Oil Corporation, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) is planning investments for fuel quality upgrade. The regional subsidiary of Indian Oil is looking to invest Rs 1,850 crore in BS-VI auto fuels to cater to the demand of the country's southern parts. The diesel hydro-treating (DHDT) BS-VI revamp project, a new FCC gasoline de-sulphurization unit of 0.6 MMTPA capacity are some of the advancements that the company has already completed in working towards its plan. By the last quarter of 2020-2021 CPCL aims at the completion of its new sulphur recovery block while the mechanical unit is expected by the 2nd quarter.
