GIPCL float tender for 120 MWh vanadium flow battery pilot project
Gujarat Government's body, Gujarat Industries Power Co Ltd (GIPCL), has invited bids for a large-scale vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) energy storage project. The plan is to develop a 20MW/120MWh (6-hour duration) battery energy storage system (BESS) using VRFB technology at its 165MW.
The project is to be developed at GIPCL's natural gas power plant in Vadodara. The tender is for the selection of a contractor to design, engineer, supply & procure, construct, erect, test, and commission the project on an EPC basis.
