Vijaywada International Airport: AAI clears resumption of the work
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has cleared the resumption of work at the integrated terminal building at the premises of the Vijayawada International Airport. KMV Projects is the L1 bidder for the work as per AAI for the completion of the pending 20% of works, having received the letter of award (LoA). The estimated cost of the entire project is Rs 611 crores
The work was stuck when AAI terminated the previous contractor at the end of 2025 over the slow progress of the work. The integrated terminal is being developed as a steel and glass structure spread across 36,075 sqm, along with a forecourt area of 5,370 sqm with six exclusive aero bridges.
