Reliance giga factory project: Work reaches advanced stages, nears comissioning
Multinational business entity Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced that the work on its giga factory project in Jamnagar is moving at a rapid pace. The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) giga-factory is in advanced stages of commissioning, with production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP)-based batteries expected to ramp up during the second half of 2026.
The project, which is a part of the Jamnagar green energy complex, will have an annual production capacity of 40 GWh (gigawatt-hour), with a roadmap to eventually scale up to 100 GWh.
