Government invests over Rs 5,000 crore in SWAMIH fund
The Indian government has invested over Rs 5,000 crore in the SBICAP Ventures-backed SWAMIH (Special Window for Completion of Affordable and Mid-Income Housing ) Investment Fund. The aim is to help mid-income home buyers.
SWAMIH Investment Fund I is India’s largest social impact fund aiming to provide priority debt financing for the completion of stressed, brownfield, and RERA-registered residential projects that fall in the affordable, mid-income housing category.
