Grand Trunk Road project: NHAI to prepare DPR for project in Ghaziabad
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has informed that it would complete the detailed project report (DPR) for the redevelopment of a 14 km stretch of the Grand Trunk Road (GT Road) in Ghaziabad.
As per the update, the project entails a total cost of Rs 395 crore, which will include approximately Rs 110 crore for utility relocation. The entire redevelopment project is divided into three sections, which include a 1.8 km interchange between Lal Kuan and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, a 3.6 km stretch up to the end of the Delhi Gate flyover, and a 9.5 km stretch up to the Gyani Border.
Redevelopment comprises two new flyovers, a 1.5-km elevated corridor, road widening, foot over-bridges, and beautification work, along with drainage improvements and pedestrian and bicycle paths.
