Hitachi Energy inaugurates its new factory in Chennai
The global technology leader in the context of a sustainable energy future Hitachi Energy inaugurated a new high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and power quality factory in Chennai. This new factory will manufacture advanced power electronics for HVDC Light, HVDC Classic, and STATCOM, together with MACH control and protection systems, the brain behind our advanced transmission and power quality solutions.
The factory will serve the fast-growing Indian market as well as the global demand for clean energy solutions to integrate renewables at the scale and at a speed that is needed, said the firm.
