Maharashtra state government to develop IT park in Purandar
The government of Maharashtra has started taking steps to develop a new IT park in Purandar taluka. 1,500 acres of government land would be transfered for the development of the project which would be close to the proposed Pune International Airport and logistics hub.
While the Hinjewadi IT Park facing infrastructure bottlenecks and saturation, the state believes a new park near Pune will ease pressure on the existing hub and discourage companies from moving operations outside Maharashtra.
