Delhi to Dehradun expressway: PM to inaugurate the project on Ambedkar Jayanti
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway on Tuesday, that is 14th April, 2026, a day that marks Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti. The new 210 km expressway is built with an estimated cost of Rs 12,000 crores.
It is expected to reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from around 6.5 hours to approximately 2.5 hours. The expressway includes a spur linking to Haridwar and will connect with the Char Dham Highway.
