Railway clears projects worth Rs 1.53 lakh crores
The Union Railway Ministry has approved projects worth Rs 1.53 lakh crores. As per updates, the ministry has sanctioned 100 railway projects in FY 2025-26 as part of the plans for the infrastructure push.
These projects include new railway lines, doubling and multitracking works aimed at easing congestion and improving services. This expansion will have some key focus states, like Maharashtra with 17 projects, Bihar with 11 projects, Jharkhand with 10 projects, and Madhya Pradesh with 9 projects.
