Patel Engineering emerges as L one bidder for projects worth over Rs 2,000 crore
Construction and engineering firm Patel Engineering (PEL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for two projects worth over Rs 2,000 crore: an urban infrastructure development project and a hydropower project.
The urban infrastructure project from CIDCO is valued at 1,318.89 crore. It involves the construction of Kondhane Dam and its allied works using roller-compacted concrete technology. The project is located in the state of Maharashtra, Village—Kondhane, Karjat, in Raigad. The work will be completed in 42 months.
The hydropower project is worth Rs. 718 crores from North Eastern Electric Power Corp (NEEPCO) for the 240 MW HEO Hydro electric project located in Arunachal Pradesh. As per order, the scope of work involves the construction of civil and associated infrastructure works, testing & commissioning of the Hydro-mechanical plant & machinery, leading to successful operation and performance of all the generating units of the 240 MW HEO hydroelectric project. The period of completion of work is 44 months.
