Rs 800 crore investment planned by UltraTech, to strengthen presence in Maharashtra
Cement sector major UltraTech, has plans to invest over Rs 800 crore on strengthening its presence in Maharashtra, with the buyout of a unit and adding capacity through brownfield expansions. The firm is looking to buy a 1.1 million tonne grinding unit at Parli in Maharashtra from India Cements for Rs 315 crore.
Further, the firm's board has also approved expanding production at this facility by 1.2 million tonnes. The firm would spend Rs 504.4 crore on capacity expansion.
