Union Minister inaugurates project worth Rs 1,700 crore in Karnal
Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated projects worth Rs 1,700 crore in Karnal, Haryana. The projects are a part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana by the National Highway Authority of India, which entails the construction of a 34-kilometer-long ring road encircling the city.
The proposed ring road will have a width of 60 meters (six lanes) and will traverse through 23 villages surrounding Karnal. It will connect Karnal Lake to Meerut, Kunjpura, and Indri, eventually linking with National Highway-44 near the Bastara toll plaza.
