Vijayawada Metro: Andhra Pradesh government floats tender for the work
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has floated tenders for the Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam projects. Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (APMRCL) has floated a tender for the first phase of the Vijayawada metro project, which will consist of two corridors.
The two corridors would be 38.4 km, and Phase 1A will run from Gannavaram (Vijayawada airport) to Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS), and Phase 1B will cover the route from Penamaluru to PNBS. Further Visakhapatnam metro rail project is planned to span four corridors, with a total length of 76.90 kilometres.
