Amrut-2 scheme: project worth Rs 330 crore approved for Guntur
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has given its approval Rs 330-crore drinking water project for Guntur as a part of the Amrut-2 (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) scheme.
Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) has allocated 16 acres of land for the development of a new filtration plant for the work that would be done under the concessionaire hybrid annuity model (CHAM). The selected contract agency would undertake the project and would also maintain the project for 10 years at no additional charge.
