Andhra Pradesh to develop medical device manufacturing zone in Vishakhapatnam
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has plans to develop a Medical Devices Manufacturing Zone 2.0 in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). Spread over 500 acres, the manufacturing zone is aimed at increasing production capacity and attracting investment from global and domestic manufacturers.
It would host production facilities for electronic and high-value medical equipment, including advanced diagnostics, imaging technologies, consumables, and other critical devices needed across hospitals and clinical settings, among other things.
