Kazipet rail manufactruring unit: Rs 500 crores project to be completed soon
Indian Railways' Kazipet rail manufacturing unit in Telangana is nearing completion. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed the plans to operationalise the manufacturing unit built for Rs 500 crores.
As per the minister, the new facility will initially manufacture 200 intercity trains over the next five years. The unit is designed to produce multiple types of rolling stock, including coaches, trainsets, etc., in the long run.
