Chennai port to Maduravoyal expressway: L one bidder for the Rs 5,855 crore project announced
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) of has announced the L one bidder (Lowest bidder) for the construction of a 5.096 km stretch under Package-II of the Chennai Port-Maduravoyal Expressway project. J Kumar Infraprojects has emerged as the L one bidder.
The project has an estimated cost of Rs 5,855 crore and a 910-day construction timeline and consists of four sections/packages. As per information, the project aims to alleviate traffic congestion in Chennai, enhance the handling capacity of the port, reduce wait times, and shorten commute time by an hour for vehicles heading to the port.
