GAIL Completes Laying Rs 2,433 Crore Pipeline In West Bengal
Public sector natural gas transmission company GAIL has said that it has completed laying a Rs 2,433-crore pipeline in the state of West Bengal putting it on the gas map of India. The company has laid a 348-kilometer pipeline from Dobhi in Bihar to Durgapur in West Bengal. The project is part of the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga project.
The pipeline network would provide cooking fuel to the households in the state that is cheaper than LPG and CNG that costs less than petrol and diesel, and fuel to produce urea for all its requirement.
