GAIL Planning To Set CBG Plant In Bengaluru
Government-owned natural gas transmission company GAIL is in talks with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to set up a compressed biogas (CBG) plant in north Bengaluru. The plant would utilize segregated organic wet waste. The minimum capacity of processing of the plant would be 75 tonnes of wet waste per day.Â
Along with the plant, GAIL would also set up a CNG station and Cascades (storage system), for utilization of CBG. The proposal to BBMP is to provide land free of cost for the plant and related infrastructure, with a guarantee to supply a minimum of 75 tonnes of wet waste per day.
