HAL signs MoU with PJSC-UAC for production of aircraft
Public sector firm Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed an MoU with a Russian firm, United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC-UAC). This MoU is for the domestic production of the SJ-100 civil commuter aircraft.
This aircraft is a twin-engine, narrow-body aircraft that would be produced domestically and can be the game-changer for short-haul connectivity under the UDAN Scheme in India.
