Vedanta Group to invest Rs 1 lakh crore in Odisha
The mining sector major Vedanta Group has planned a significant Rs 1 lakh crore investment in Odisha. This investment includes a Rs 2,000 crore capex for setting up an advanced ferro alloys plant in Keonjhar.
Further, the firm will establish new aluminum parks near its existing and upcoming plants, including one in Jharsuguda and another at a new site provided by the state government. This investment proposal is in addition to the investments announced earlier.
