Hitachi Energy plans to expand Mysuru facility, investment worth Rs 300 crore lined up
Clean energy transition firm Hitachi Energy has plans to expand its Mysuru plant to double the production of EHV-class high-quality pressboard and laminated board. The firm would invest Rs 300 crore in expansion, which is a part of a larger Rs 2,000 crore plan to meet rising global demand for transformer insulation materials.
Under the expansion plan, the firm will replace the fossil fuel boiler, making its Mysuru site an ultra-low carbon pressboard facility. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
